By using the Brownie app or website, you agree to the terms set out below.
1. The service
Brownie is an iOS app that helps you manage grocery lists, pantry inventory, recipes, and meal logs. It includes features like photo-based meal analysis, barcode scanning, and list sharing. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
2. Your account
You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials safe. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you share a list with someone, invite people you trust.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of the lists, photos, recipes, and notes you create. By using Brownie, you give us permission to store, process, and display that content as needed to operate the service for you and the people you invite.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Brownie to:
- Break the law or violate other people's rights
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes copyright
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service
- Send spam or unsolicited invitations
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Nutrition and health information
Brownie's nutrition estimates (from meal photos, receipts, or barcode lookups) are estimates, not medical advice. Macro values can shift significantly with preparation, brand, and portion size. Don't rely on Brownie for medical, dietary, or allergen decisions — always check packaging and talk to a professional for anything that matters to your health.
6. Third-party content
Recipes, store prices, and product info shown in Brownie may come from third-party sources (Spoonacular, Open Food Facts, user-submitted data). We don't guarantee its accuracy.
7. Service availability
We work hard to keep Brownie running, but we don't promise 100% uptime. The service is provided "as is" without warranties. Features that depend on external services may occasionally be unavailable.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Brownie and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including spoiled groceries, miscounted macros, or missed meals.
9. Termination
Stop using Brownie anytime by deleting the app or your account in Settings. We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be flagged in-app. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in U.S. courts.
